Help for Women Who Need Support
Counseling can provide a welcoming and confidential place to talk about the thoughts, emotions, experiences, and patterns affecting your daily life.
You may be experiencing anxiety that keeps pulling your attention toward what could go wrong. You may feel weighed down by depression, stress, body shame, a painful relationship, or experiences from your past. You may also be functioning well in many areas of your life while recognizing that something still does not feel settled.
My counseling approach combines warmth, practical support, brain science, mindfulness, and skills you can practice outside of sessions. My goal is to help you better understand what may be happening in your thoughts, emotions, brain, and nervous system without making counseling feel overly clinical, intimidating, or difficult to relate to.
Counseling availability depends on your location, current scheduling, licensing requirements, clinical needs, and whether in-person or telehealth counseling is appropriate for you.

Types of Counseling Provided
The reasons women begin counseling are personal. You may be facing a specific concern, or you may recognize that you have not felt like yourself and want help understanding why.
Anxiety counseling may help if you experience persistent worry, racing thoughts, tension, fear, emotional overwhelm, difficulty relaxing, or the feeling that your mind is always preparing for what could go wrong.
Our work may include identifying the thoughts and nervous system responses contributing to your anxiety while practicing skills that help you return your attention to the present moment.
Depression counseling may provide support if you are experiencing sadness, heaviness, low motivation, hopelessness, emotional numbness, disconnection, or difficulty finding interest in daily life.
Together, we may explore the thoughts, experiences, and patterns affecting how you feel while developing practical ways to reconnect with yourself and your daily life.
Trauma therapy may support you as you process painful experiences, betrayal, emotional wounds, or patterns that continue to affect your relationships, thoughts, body, and sense of safety.
PTSD counseling may also help if you experience triggers, hypervigilance, avoidance, emotional shutdown, distressing memories, sleep problems, fear, or other trauma-related responses.
I approach trauma work with care and respect for your boundaries. You will not be expected to share everything at once or move faster than you are ready to move.
Counseling can help you examine critical thoughts about your body and understand where those messages may have developed.
Our work may focus on separating your sense of value from appearance, weight, aging, or cultural expectations about how women should look.
Disordered eating therapy may support you if you experience food anxiety, restriction, emotional eating, body dissatisfaction, shame, or patterns that interfere with your emotional or physical well-being.
We can explore the thoughts and emotions connected to these patterns while working toward greater awareness, flexibility, and self-respect.
Counseling for sexual abuse recovery offers a confidential place to process painful experiences while respecting your boundaries, readiness, and individual needs.
My role is not to pressure you to revisit experiences before you feel prepared. We can work together to build a greater sense of safety and determine what support feels appropriate for you.
Women’s counseling may address relationship difficulties, caregiving pressures, identity, grief, loneliness, stress, self-criticism, and the expectations you may carry through different stages of life.
You do not have to be experiencing a crisis to benefit from counseling. You may want help understanding yourself, changing an unhelpful pattern, or finding a more peaceful way to move through daily life.
