About Me

I have been passionate about working with women since I began graduate school in 1989. I studied at Georgia State University and received my practicum and internship training at the Hub Counseling Center, a practice that specialized in treating women with sexual abuse histories. During this time I also worked at Decatur Hospital, which, at that time, housed an inpatient eating disorder and substance abuse unit. It was during this early period in my career that my love for working with women, particularly those who had suffered from abuse, trauma and eating disorders, was born.

Over the years I have worked for the court system as a mediator, in Broughton Hospital in acute admissions and at Cognitive Connections, an outpatient substance abuse treatment center. My experiences in these facilities have strengthened my skills in healing women from a wide variety of backgrounds
